Please can someone explain how the 90 day rule works in simple terms or is there an easy app

Search Schengen app and its easy to use. The 90 day rule is rolling so if you do 90 straight days you have to be out of the Schengen zone for the next 90. However, if you keep an eye on your app you'll see you could go for 6 weeks, return for 6 and go back for 6 etc.

If I leave for France on April 22nd and return June 5th I have used 45 days of my 90 day allowance, if I then go to France on September 10th my 180 day period ends October 25th and a new 180 day period starts. Do I have to return to England on the 25th October or can I stay till November 5th as...

Any day that you’re in the Schengen zone, count backwards 180 days. If you’ve already been there for 90 days within that 180, you need to get out because you’ve overstayed.

Plenty of Schengen calculators available as apps.
