Which is the alternator charging leisure fuse please?

For the Leisure battery it will be one of the blade fuses beside the starter battery, normally 30 or 50 amp.

70 seems a bit high, do you have a B2B and if so what power & do you have an uprated alternator?

B2B is the Schultz one you have settings of 45 amp 55amp and 70 amp. I have set it to 45
There is a 20. 30. 70 fuses.

The alternator is standard I am told.

My reason for wanting to pull the fuse is we have been off grid for many days and the battery is on 40% and I am driving to Salamanca 4 hrs tomorrow and I don’t fancy the alternator pulling it self to bits for 4 hours. I am probably over thinking this.

The 20 amp will be the fridge, not a clue what the 30 amp is. With a 70 amp B2B your guess is right.
With the B2B set to 45 amps it should be OK and once the batteries are charged the B2B will turn off.

I assume you will be driving in daylight so the van system won't be drawing much current once the starter battery is topped up.

Yes all day running. It’s a smart alternator so cab battery only gets charged when I coast or break and when on a motorway on cruise it runs quite low but that’s another thread
