Not wanting to leave one of my Grandkids at home. Heading to Dorset soon where we’ll meet up with my daughter. Myself and Wife are taking along my Grandson and setting off a day earlier stopping off at Burnham for one night. We would love to take our two Granddaughters also just for the one night which means five people but only four belts. Can my wife sit in a rear facing seat without a belt restraint? I’m being a little idol here as not got enough time to scan the net! Sorry folks.

Not sure of the year may be 2006 after that date you can only travel in belted seats.

What does your V5 say about number of seats.? You may invalidate your insurance if you exceed this.

It's very common. Like you've said, many families will just take a second vehicle. You might also find that the vehicle is overloaded if you put 6 people and all their stuff in it.

Yes Guigsy probably would take it well over the loading especially with me being a touch rotund only planned on giving two littleuns a lift but to be on the safe side they can travel with their mom & dad the following day

Many years ago I had a 7 berth with only 2 seatbelts. I reckoned it could seat 13 at a pinch, nobody was much bothered about belts in those days (or weight), I guess some people still aren't.
