enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
We have a 3500kg Adria, which I'm sure is pretty close to the limit and want to uprate to at least 3850. I need to change the tyres next year aswell, so looking to do it all in one 'exercise'. I realise we won't get the cheaper road tax ...

Is it worth going for 5000kg semi air (standard chassis, no electric hand brake) if there's not too much difference in cost?

Has anyone done the same upgrade that can offer any advice. Happy to install myself as I'm pretty good at following instructions AND YouTube !!

When you say standard chassis is that the Fiat one?

What wheels do you have?

What size tyres?

Not sure if you can go to 5000 will depend on the above, if I were you I'd speak with SV Tech and ask what's possible.

Just to confirm - I am NOT looking to uprate the vehicle to 5000kg, just wondering if it would be worth using 5000kg air bags as opposed to 4000kg airbags?

I choose airbags rated to 5000kg as i up plated to 4250, on fiat light chassis, up rated tyres to 121 rating and up graded alloys to 1250 per corner , as mine was only rated to 1000 kg per corner, sold old alloys wheels and tyres which basically paid for new wheels and tyres .
I was 3850 originally, but was well over this when fully loaded (4,125)😬 and I only have a small garage. So went for higher pay load .
Hope this helps go for as much as you can ,
For ref didn’t need any up grade to front axle.
And air assist on rear at R 2400 & F 1850.
dual switches so levelling on site much easier.
Hope this helps go.
Paper work done by vwe during may June fantastic service received.
