Don't know but usually with technology it starts expensive and only available to a few but as time goes on it will get cheaper and cheaper.

I can't see this being available to consumers for a long time but I guess within a couple of years you will be able to email them your design and get it printed and shipped back to you pretty quickly.

Maybe shops in the future will have a vending machine style system. perhaps like photo shops used to be?

Dunno but the fact it can be done now so quickly is seriously impressive.

I think that would have been for the normal scale 3D printers I referred to initially. The nano scale 3d printers are likely to be 10's if not 100's of thousands initially.

7 years campers before that
i was listening to the radio the other day and they were watching a new 3d printer that prints using gold paste which is then amalgamated into gold by a laser it will be used to produce bespoke jewelry at mass produced prices

started when I was 11 with my parents-forgot to stop!been real one since 1980!
As for cost,if it follows the pattern of 2D printers the 'mixture' will be dearer than the printer.
