3 way fridge problem on Gas after running for a while.

Hi,

I’ve a 14 year old Dometic 3 way fridge. Works fine on EHU and 12V. It also works fine for about a day on Gas and then won’t relight.

I can hear it ‘clicking’ to try and ignite the gas but it won’t light.

It can’t be a gas supply issue as it works fine for a day and then seems to ‘give up’. Heating and burners are also working well.

I took it to Dometic but as it starts fine when it’s been left a while, they couldn’t find a fault but they did change the burner as it was a bit rusty.

Any thoughts on what could be the issue is most welcome.

It could be the gas supply solenoid valve , try giving it a tap next time it stops working , if it then works that will be the problem, a sticking valve , needing replacement.
