Know that quite a few Funsters use these PAYG SIMS https://www.amazon.co.uk/Three-Mobile-Pay-Broadband-data/dp/B0D1KWQ7BK?tag=mhf04-21 for data rather than contracts as depending on usage they can work out to be cheaper (e.g. half the cost of adding more PAYG data to existing 3 SIM account) but looks like they may be being phased out now that Vodafone has merged with 3 
Just went to swop our data SIM & found that we couldn't add the new SIM to our existing 3 account as we have many times before - the current work around is create a new account with a different email address. Be aware that on removing our old SIM & trying to add the new one on our original 3 account killed off the old one - not ideal if you have some data left & may want to keep it as a back up until it expires.
Hope this helps some of you avoid the frustration & difficulties that we had!
