Looking at 2016 Carthago E line 4800kg with a Fiat 3.0lt engine and comfortatic gearbox.
I have looked at older posts about the engine and noted the comments.
Are owners still in love with this engine?
I currently have Hymer 150bhp with the same gearbox, so I already know it's faults.
Also, driven normally, what sort of mpg am I looking at, just out of curiosity rather than a deal breaker.
Thank you,
Vic

Our Fiat X290 based Hymer B678 was built in late 2014 and was first registered by us a year later. Both engine and gearbox has not let us down. It has plenty enough of grunt for me. We still have it and it is our "keeper".

With an E--Line get it on a weighbridge before committing to it. Even with the upgrade to 4800kg they can be tight on the rear axle.
You can go to over 5000kg but will need new rims & tyres.

I love our 2015 plate Rapido 7065ff on the 3l , 180bhp comfortmatic, had it over 5 years now. I will be booking it in at Adam Morley later in the new year to have necessary done on the clutch/gearbox👍
It does everything that I want it to do…

Great engine, wrong gearbox. Just search comfortmatic on here or google if you have the time, LOTUS

Had the same engine in all my previous 3 Burstner Elegances 5000kg sometimes towing cars & motorcycles etc although always with the manual gearbox but a fantastic engine that never gave any trouble, as others have said pulls like a freight train, having said that my current van which is a little pvc with the latest 2.2 engine and 180bhp again with manual gearbox is a bit of a beast too climbs steep hills like a ferrari lol great combo 😁 but that 3L Fiat engine which is actually made by Iveco is a fantastic engine you won't go wrong with it
