Hi

Just in the process of renewing my C1 Licence now I am 73 and this time my Doctor charged £144 !!! Phew !!! when I had it done when I was 70 it was £60 ?

Anybody else found it expensive??

ALAN

If you have any health conditions, especially heart, you may have to go to your GP in any case.

Too much faff for us so Martin didn't bother with the C1 renewal as it would have been difficult to leave me for at least half a day had he needed to do treadmill etc.

That's gross extortion.😥

Does having had Bowel Cancer a big thing when applying for a licence when your applying at 70?
Might be a significant problem with getting medical/travel insurance (depending how long ago, whether or not still being followed up and having chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy) but I would not have thought it affected Licence renewal.

Diagnosed 2022, had it removed & then had another Tumour 2024 & then Chemo to sort that, but need to sort 2026

I wouldn’t have thought so either 😱😱but sadly the D4D doctor insisted in adding it to form although I said it was not declarable and the resultant 6 month fiasco to get my C1 ended with me only getting it for a year with no explanation or reply to my 2 formal complaints .
No problems with getting single trip insurance shortly after chemo , now looking to get annual insurance from Insurance With but need to know if I have a licence which enables me to drive the van . Current one in hands of DVLA - they sent me a form asking how my cancer had affected my driving.. answer was that it had not. Fingers X
