2022 Hymer - Right hand dipped headlight not working.

As per title - the right hand dipped headlight is not working..

The Ducato based Hymer is right hand drive - and all of the other driving lights work OK - including the right hand full beam, which is interesting because there is only one bulb (Type H7 - one filament) for both dipped and main beam.

Some help would be appreciated.

Edited after following comment to clarify the bulb type H7 - same bulb one filament for both beams.

I would think its a double filament bulb 1 for dip beam and 1 for main beam so probably dip beam filament has blown has it got connections on the back?

Thanks for the comment. It is certainly only one bulb (one filament) - Type H7. The dipped beam is contolled by a mechanical shutter which limits the beam.

Ah modern technology you can't beat it (although i suspect most of us would like to beat it with a big stick)

It's probably a problem with the loom, our last Hymer I repaired the looms 3 times. Poor quality cable the insulation breaks down and cracks then the wire corrodfes through.

You can check it by swapping the loom with the other side.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not see how it can be the loom - the bulbs all light up on full beam.

It is the the same bulb (and filament) for dipped and full beam and the full beam works.

And this vehicle was built long after the 2017 faulty looms.

That loom controls everything in the light cluster, easy enough to check just swap the looms over, at least you have ruled it out then.

I don't see that the loom controls anything. It is just wires. And the wires are OK. The bulb works on full beam.

Anyway changed the looms over, as suggested. Made no difference.

I think this fault is more to do with the Hymer headlight relays.
Weird connections - more to do with the idea that one fault can't take out all headlights.
