Hi all,
As a relatively new owner of a 2022 Fiat Burster TD 745 I have uncovered a couple of concerns and questions.
Upon repairing the butterfly type fasteners on the starter battery cover located in the front passenger side footwell I discovered what seems to be a 'rats nest' of untidy wiring can anyone comment or post pics of a similar age MH to compare the standard of workmanship which also raises a couple of concerns.
1) The first being the heavy duty red cables shown are just laying across the top of the battery with the max blade type fuse holder not containing a fuse (shown separate pic) the supply wire is connected to the terminal block on top of the battery so the fuse holder supply is live.
Any idea what this HD supply would or should be used for? As far as I'm aware everything works Ok but still not familiar with all the equipment particularly air con.
2) There are a a couple of medium blade type fuse holders also just laying across the top of the battery unsecured just hanging where they lay.
Is this really normal practice? I would expect them to be 'clipped in place or something.
3) The four (2 brown 2 red) heavy duty cables come from around the Electro Blok ect area under the passenger seat but just simply pass over the top of the battery compartment and rest on the battery top these are showing signs of getting 'pinched' by the battery cover under foot traffic and I think are at risk of chaffing against the battery terminals.
Is this normal? I would expect at least a conduit type protection or support around the wiring to prevent the battery cover chaffing/pinching the wires.
I'm not sure what standard the auxiliary wiring should be on a motorhome but I feel this looks to be a lot below par.
The MH has a trailer lighting module, solar panel and roof mounted air con as additional extras so I'm not sure if any of these were added after the vehicle left Burstner. I have had a couple of electrical issues with additional equipment which also givescause of concern.
Many thanks in advance.

Good quality work there (not!) mine is similar ,connect and stuff in anyhow seems to be German craftsmanship at it’s finest ☹️

Not all German brands are such a mess. Hymer, including Burstner, were acquired by Thor Industries (USA) in 2018. Perhaps some of the German craftsmanship has fallen foul of management by accountants.
