Hi, the lighting goes off for no apparent reason, and comes back on again when it likes. There's no flickering, the lighting is on 2 x circuits and both fuses are good. Could it be the digital control panel that's the issue and has anyone else experienced similar please?

I also have an issue with the fresh water tank gauge which shows whatever it likes, again this is read through the digital control panel.

Any help much appreciated!

Hi & welcome! :hi: Hopefully someone techy will be along to post some suggestions shortly...

Hi, the lighting issue sound like it could be a bad ground connection somewhere. Not likely to be directly relayed to the control panel I wouldn't have thought.
We had a similar problem with our water tank and it was due to the sensors in the tank becoming dirty. Sanitised the tank (product name escapes me - maybe puriclear?) and that fixed the panel reading issue

Hi, thanks Wombles!

Sean - thank you I'll check out the wiring. The lighting is on 2 x fuses so assuming 2 x circuits, are these likely to be grounded together? I've ordered a tub of Puriclear. Thanks again for the help

Well grounded to chassis so that's not the issue. Could it be some kind of switch on the PCB that opens/closes the power to the lighting? Guessing a new control panel might be the easiest way - unless anyone has any other ideas I can try?

Hi all, still struggling with this one if anyone is able to help? on the CBE PC180 control panel does anyone know what colour the lighting switch wire is out of the bulk connector at the back by any chance, or better still have a wiring diagram as I can't find one or get a reply from CBE in Italy

Hi
I have a 2015 Chausson 717 ,here is the wiring schematic supplied with our van which I presume would be similar to your own , it appears that the cable goes direct to the distribution board from the Pc180

I don't know about your system, but the CBE system with the DS300 box and the PC100/200 panel has a 'minimal voltage control'. If the voltage drops to 10V it switches most things off. Switches back on when voltage rises to 12V. Do you know the leisure battery voltage when the lights cut off?

If it happens when the voltage is at normal levels, then maybe this cutoff circuit is not functioning correctly.

The battery is showing at 12.4v so all good, I had wondered if that would be the case. My gut feeling is that the control wire for this circuit has a break in it or the sealed connector has/is failing. I just need to find out which one of the wires it is out of the multi connector from the control panel rather than cutting/connecting each in sequence as it's bound to be the last one

Thanks TG1903, what I am trying to find is the wire form the rear block connector that controls the lighting circuit only. Do you happen to have any wiring on the control panel?

I have had a similar issue with 12v fault going to the Truma Diesel boiler & traced it back to the distribution box , the cables are tight in there and may be worth checking the plug is still properly attached to the circuit board as this was my issue , just needed a slight push back on

Thank you I'll have a wiggle around in there. Lights come on/off whenever they want at the moment and never at the right time so I don't think it's too serious just really hard to trace

Have you checked the charger output? I had a similar problem and it was traced back to the charger tripping in and out, the lights strobed when on or would not come on at all.

I'll have a look, this happens though when it's not charging just static and not mains connected. When they're on they're fine then they just go off
