2014 Autotrail Apache Cab Battery Replacement

Hello Funsters, I hope you are all having a fantastic festive break.

I am hoping someone can advise me on a very good replacement cab battery. Its for our Fiat Ducato 2.3D. It has an AGM Running Bull 58001 currently installed, which is almost six years old. It was fitted before we bought the motorhome. Recently the starting has got sluggish even though it has had more EHU than we normally provide.

Firstly can anyone advise if an AGM battery is suitable for a Fiat Ducato 2.3D? - does the driving (alternator) and EHU fully charge the battery?. At best it was 12.6 to 12.7V after it was left to stand for a few hours.

From experience/knowledge can anyone advise on a very good replacement battery?

The existing battery is:

• 175mm wide
• 317mm Length
• 190mm Height

On the length I can go an extra 40mm longer on a replacement.

Hi - The my vehicle Registration Number did not work for the Tanya system. Telephoned Tanya and the chap said an 019 battery; no conclusive answer as to lead acid or AGM. After more research on the internet I went for Yuasa HSB019 also known as Yuasa YBX5019. Its 100Ah & CCA 900. 5 Year Guarantee. Battery type 019:

• 175mm wide

• 190mm Height

Its good enough for Aston Martins with massive engines so will see how it goes on a 2.3D Ducato
