is it possible to fit 2 x 11kg gaslow cylinders in the standard Autotrail Apache 652 gas locker.
Thanks
Juggler

Can't see why not. I think they use a standard locker case on all their vans

My 700 can certainly take 2 large bottles.. HOWEVER you do need to put them in a certain way, think the right hand one first and then the left if not try the other way around ..

@TerryL ;)

What about the 14kg alu gas would they fit and give you more gas ?

I’ve recently fitted 2x11kg bottles into a autotrail Dakota. Right hand bottle first.
Actually I’ll rephrase that statement. @Silver-Fox fitted 2 bottles into my van. (And a damn fine job he made as well):)

The AT technical spec states that every AT van in the Imala, Tracker and Apache ranges all have suitable space for (Propane) 1 x 7kg and 1 x 13kg bottles whereas the Frontier range spec is 2 x 13kg.

Steve may know the answer @ABZSteve

Cheers,

Andrew

I seem to remember a thread on here a couple of years ago where someone else was in the same quandry, so they took measurements of the locker door opening & internal locker dimensions, together with a couple of images of the empty locker to show position of the regulator etc and asked at Gaslow or Gasit and reported that they were very helpful.
Good Luck.
Barry

We had them in our old AutoTrail Delaware.
If all the AutoTrail lockers are the same the answer must be Yes.

Richard.

The AT tech specs are indicating that the Frontier range (Delaware, Scout, Commanche) all have a bigger locker capability than the OPs Apache range van.

Our starter van was an Autotrail and if I recall correctly the gas cupboard would not accept two larger bottles.

Steve has a 634 so he'll know the answer (I hope :D).

Steve, I've just checked the 700's spec and it's also down as 1 x 7kg and 1 x 13kg in the brochure.

......so based on your observations a 2 x 11kg combo must fit a 632 (y)

Correct, spec is 1 x 7kg and 1 x 13 kg But never had an issue fitting 2 large bottles. I use a combination of UK butane, Spanish bottles and a Safefill. (y)

Just went out and measured my gas locker
dims:- 24” wide x 12-3/4” deep x 26” high. I have 2 x 6kg bottles which, when moved as far apart as I can get them, leaves a 4-1/2” gap. Online dims for the 11kg is 304mm or 1/32” shy of 12”. If correct, then there will be a 1/16” gap between the bottles. Given that the depth is greater than the bottle diameter, you will have an overlap so, I believe I could get them in my locker quite easily. I think my Imala had the same size of locker but in a different location. I would measure 2 x 12” circles on a piece of card then use these to check. Good luck

Just noticed others quoting Apache 632. If that is what you have then it has the exact same locker as my 634, almost bought the 632 so had a good look over it(y)

Not sure if this helps at all but I fitted 2 Gas low 11kg bottles into the locker of our Autotrail cheyenne 696g SE (2004 Ducato)

Sounds like that there is a good chance that they will fit (just). Already got one installed so I will ask supplier to try second in place, just to be sure.
Thanks for all help

@Juggler Did you get the second one installed?

I have not yet because my wife has recently had heart problems requiring many tests and doctor/hospital visits.
