2 Way Radios at Lidl

Silvercrest , 2 Way Radios at Lidl , on sale Thursday £25 ,

We bought ours in portugal but they are compatible to the ones other funsters have .

We tend to use chanel no 5 of course , :Cool:

Ideal for shows as well as convoys ........ morocco ... or just manouvering the motorhome without squashing the other half ...lol

The 5mile range is a bit optimistic. It might be the case if both were on top of adjacent mountains

I do have a couple of PMR radios for reversing purposes, but for convoys CB is a much better bet (though more expensive).

A bit of FUN as it's a good idea to use a different channel, as most people use channel 1 and the conversations can become complicated and over heard. :thumb:

At 500mW you ain't gonna get far but they'll do I have a set of these type good for around 1 mile tops..

We also have CB on the motorcycle , but for general use , shopping at shows , soukes , or in a
"Small " convoy these handsets , i think are a usefull piece of kit ,

Hence the post , :Cool:

But each to their own , as they say , you pays your money you makes your choice .......:Confused:

We used ours in convoy with my Mum and step father in France this year.

We were on channel 7 but got a bit of interference.

I could tell that it was from 3rd parties but my Mum couldn't.

She was talking to other English people

oh:

One lady came on and said "Dad we are going to stop at the next services with a knife and fork sign"

My mum - "Ok Love"

Can recommend them my son has the same ones we use them with the cadets for coms training but sum times get prats on them but they do the job

Use call signs and it prevents confusion and you can have more fun with them without the frustration
Use like make of van
Make up sum radio procedures that you agree and it will maybe not go to wrong have fun
