1st Proper trip for us

Hull - Rotterdam 1st April

Well it’s almost upon us, our first proper motorhome holiday, I don’t really count Scotland as a holiday that’s more of a getaway. So this proper holiday is to Germany & maybe Austria. Not booked a return as yet, dunno where we’ll end up.

Rough idea of route

Maastricht

Cocham

Rudesheim

Rothenburg

Salzburg

Fussen

Lindau

Then who knows.

Done a lot of Europe when I drove coaches years ago and every year but on my motorbike trips, but this is going to be a bit different, but looking forward to it.

Enjoy your trip, we’ve done that crossing many times. There’s a fuel station just on the dual carriageway that’s the cheapest around (certainly was last few years) if you need to fill up

With Nationwide flex account for breakdown and travel, not seeing any restrictions with it and insured with Ripe, no restrictions but will call them both tomorrow, thanks

Looks like a great trip, been to all those places, some on the Harley some in the Moho, Rudesheim we stayed at the campsite, very good and but a short walk into town, Rothenburg, P2 is the best Stellplatz, again a short walk into town and can pay via the Parkster app (as with a lot of Stellplatz in Germany) very easy to use Füssen we stayed at the end Stellplatz in the row of three, very good and a bit further into town than the others.
As with all Stellplatz in Germany, you are best to hit them between 9-11.00 am. Enjoy your trip, take lots of pictures
