Just booked Newhaven to Dieppe for this Friday and wouldn’t mind suggestions for place to stop, we’re on the noon ferry so arriving in Dieppe at 16.00hrs. Happy to drive up to a couple of hours, don’t mind if it’s just a car park just as long as it’s safe and reasonably quiet.

Depends if you are wanting get some miles under your belt as you are going South,,,,,, we enjoy the aire in the town..... off the ferry and turn right at the roundabout.... although it is E18 / night, but right next to all the restaurants in the town. If you want to get miles, then Benouville was a nice stop, but, just for a quiet night and then off next morning !!!! check it on S4S.

We have stayed on the free aire at Auffay about 45minutes south of Dieppe. The aire is at the south end of the railway station car park but the dump point is the other side of the tracks behind a small hedge.

Depends on where you're heading, but we stayed at the nice, clean aire at Songeons, a couple of weeks ago.
Some lovely walks round about, including to the beautiful village of Geberoy.

lorger. There are 2 x Aires at Dieppe Gerry, one each side of the river with the nearest just a stone throw from the ferry entry/exit roundabout.

We stopped off at the large Auchan Hypermarket in Dieppe, which has a filling station for Diesel and Autogas. There were a few of us there.

We headed off early, and had breakfast at the Nonancourt Aire, next to the Fire Station. On the way out of town to pick up the N154, there is an E Leclerc self service filling station by the roundabout. Usually decent prices too. (y)

HTH,

Jock. :)

Earlier this year we stopped at La Mailleraye Sur Seine. A bit over an hour from Dieppe and avoids the Rouen CAZ.

Thanks for the replies I’ll check them all out, I should have mentioned we’re heading south.

JockandRita Jock did you stay overnight at the Auchan in Dieppe?

I always stop at a free aire 20 yards off the main road before Totes it’s a small village called Biville - la - Baignarde , there are about 20no spaces allways been empty 😊😊

Absolutely Gerry, and as I posted, there were a few of us there. All quiet. (y)

Do your French shopping, have a bite to eat, and hit the road after a decent night's sleep. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Approximately 2 hour's from Dieppe it does depend which way your going and not a aire as such but a lovely place for a break and sleep very quiet

There are two free aires at La Petit Appeville and a motorhome service point a couple of hundred metres away beside the main road; on P4N. I stayed in June after arriving on late ferry, quiet and no issues.

I always spend at least one night in Dieppe. Only stop I paid for in France this trip so far

Top of the hill coming out of town past the water tower is a Lidl you can stop if you want overnight.
