12volt sockets not working? Ok on hook up

Out for first trip using without electric hook up. Sockets not working tv plugged in on 12v lights ok . Where have we gone wrong

Nowhere mains sockets only work when you are on hook up.

As above. 240v AC sockets and appliances only work on EHU (unless you have a custom install of large battery bank and and inverter.....)

Most motorhomes are designed so that their basic functions work from the 12V leisure battery. So you can park in the middle of a field, with no hookup, and have lights, a loo, a heater to keep warm, a hot shower and a fridge to keep the beer cool. The appliances are controlled by 12V, but their main heating power comes from gas or diesel.

As for sockets, the 12V round sockets will probably work from the leisure battery, but the ones in the cab area may work off the starter battery, and might only work when the engine is running. The 240V 3-pin mains sockets will only work when connected to a hookup, as has been said already.
