thank you

Most people say they're crap so I never bothered for Ann.

guess it will be an 'Au natururelle' look then
Not thinking, I thought it would be a good idea to add one to our kit in the van…….for my wife that is.

After trying it once, she said ’Bin it, totally useless’. :(

Management has enough trouble remembering to pack a hair brush unlike our daughter taking hairdryer, straightener thing and curling tongs to Australia.

Absolutely useless unless you are Kojak

This issue has come up before and the general consensus was that 12v hairdryers are useless.
However, the following is what I recommended the last time we discussed how to avoid looking like you’ve come through a hedge backwards.

I use these Hair Styla USB hair straighteners. Wash and dry hair, then run your locks through the straighteners several times and they style adequately. Obviously, not as good as GHDs or probably the Dyson, but as these only cost me the equivalent of about £25 I am more than happy not to look like a happy camper. They recharge within about 20-minutes.

Or an inverter - which is how I run a low wattage hair dryer.
where do you find the low wattage hairdryer. been looking for one for years

I think some folks stick a "Hoover" type vacuum pipe into one of their Truma blown air outlets and use that ?

Use the 12 v to open a window while your driving and stick your head out

I have a small folding travel hairdryer bought from Argos years ago. It uses 600w on low setting and 1200w on high, I usually only use it in winter if we are on a hook up though. If desperate I could use it on low via the inverter but so far have never bothered. I also have a Babyliss gas hair tong which I sometimes use to dry damp hair.

I use this one but an older version at 800w. It’s remarkably good.

I have one of the 1200w ones as a spare, which is still fine with a 1500w inverter.

Both of them have a dual speed setting so probably don’t use 800/1200w on the low setting, but I’ve never measured it.

I have been playing with that idea for a while but have not found the right fitting to insert in the outlet.

Can anybody point me to one please.

Not great for styling, but sit in the cab with the A/C on. It dries out the air, so your barnet dries pretty quickly.

I wonder if someone on here could 3D print you an adapter ?

Just as a side note. PLA and PTEG will not work... I 3d printed a clip to join two bits of heating pipe. It went floppy.

Wife uses a 1200W travel hairdryer every 3 or 4 days when we are away. Bought from Argos for about a tenner. It works fine on our reasonably cheap 2000W modified sine wave inverter. We have 250W of solar with an MPPT controller and 2 x 90Ah habitation batteries. Usually takes 3 or 4 hours to recharge the batteries to full.

We have 3000/6000 inverter works toaster and wife’s hair dryer a treat also charge phone laptops
