When off grid I’m a little obsessive about battery drainage . Does a avtex 12 v TV and sound bar drain much on standby ? As the 12v socket is tucked up behind a cupboard and difficult to reach . In addition I keep my mifi charged and the stereo header unit continues to draw - comments welcome …

What battery (Batteries) have you got?

Can you not fit an isolation switch for the tv and sound bar ?
I guess you'll need the mifi connected permanently but the stereo could do with being isolated too ?

I’ve read somewhere that stuff on standby can use up to 70% of the units power usage….🤔

I have a similar set up and have found leaving them on stand by has very little effect on my power consumption.I bought a split 12V power cable ftom avtex which means 1 plug supplies both the TV and soundbar. Does not effect power consumption of course but does make it easier to isolate both items.

Sorted folks thanks , discovered that my 12 volt plug splitter has its own isolation switch - out of interest the lcd on the switch was displaying 13.2 - what does that mean ?

That's the battery voltage just after, or during charging, if the battery is fully charged.
In other words, that's the charger voltage.
An hour off charge or a light load will drop it to around 12.6v

That is your battery voltage, if you have solar or on mains it will be the charger voltage.
