12v socket not working (1 Viewer)

Hello all, our 12v socket seems to have stopped working. It was intermittent before but when I ‘twiddled’ the 12v plug around the socket would work. It has completely given up now! I have a multimeter, but I am not sure how to check the socket is getting power. Can anyone advise please?

Pull the surround off then you can remove screws to pull socket out to test connections behind.

It looks like you should be able to test using the centre brass looking contact (on the red backing) and either of the two silver/chrome ones on the edges ...
