swift Kon-tiki 669
Hi,
I have just purchased a 2009 Kon-tiki 669. The problem l am experiencing relates to the 12 volt system and the leisure batteries. The batteries are showing 11.5 volts and after driving some 2 hours, the batteries have limited capacity as the 12 volt system goes off line after about 30 minutes. This causes the 3 way fridge to display code 10 and Code 12 with the spanner on display. This loss of voltage has directly affected HWS and shower. Any advice or questions to assist in clarifying the problem greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Trekkertony

Sounds like the batteries are not charging. Can you check fuses with a multimeter (continuity check will show if it has blown or not). If they are lead acid batteries then they may be at end of life. Will it charge on electric hook up? 2 hours of driving will not put much back in to your batteries. A fridge will not run long off 12v system. Could do with more info about your set up (battery type, charging sources etc). This will help those with expertise to help you fault find. Good luck, Cush

It would seem your leisure batteries are totally depleted.
If they have been run to low they may be damaged and not able to hold a charge.
Attached is a chart of battery voltages.

Certainly sounds like duff batteries.
However before changing i would be using a multimeter and checking that you have some charge coming in from the alternator and mains charger before you swop them out. There are videos on youtube that will help explain how to do it.

Be aware that the fridge on 12v takes a lot of power so thats not helping.

The fridge fault code may be flashing because the fridge control panel is not receiving enough voltage from the leisure battery to operate correctly .
