10 amp Solar Charger with 160w solar !

As long as the panel doesn't exceed the maximum voltage the charger can take, it'll be fine, just it'll max out at about 120w. Remember that your house wall socket can provide several kW, but devices like a night light only take the current they need. Ample supply current isn't an issue (unless you have a short circuit!).

Came back from camping the other week. My brother, a carpenter, brought a door sized 350w house roof panel that someone was throwing away... for his tent set-up. But he still only had a Victron 75-15. So the sun started to rise and he'd quickly start generating about 220w... But that's as high as it could go. The bonus is that even when it was a bit cloudy, he'd still be maxed out.

Thank you for the replies. I found an indentical looking one to the Truma SDC20 and the SDC25 for £11 on Amazon, delivered tomorrow.

Then went up from £11 to £37 after I had bought the last one !

Am I pushing it and should I use a 20 amp?

Just I have a Truma SDC10 I picked up Brand New for a £Tenner !
Should be OK just don't go to Spain.

Depends how the controller handles excess power, Victron just waste it as heat and carry on working but a lot just shut down.

I would change it.

If you need to charge the starter battery from the solar or hab battery you will need to fit an Ablemail battery maintainer or Batterymaster.
