Morning guys. Joined the other day. I'll be spending most of my time in the self build bit of the forum. Looking for tips from your builds. This one is is designed for occasional use for just me. Photography trips to Cumbria. I've incorporated this unit into the old seat sliding rails so it can be extended out of the back door. Made a clip on table the other day that can fit inside and outside. Lots of fitting out to do on the basic chassis of the cabinet. Roller doors. Plumbing. Wiring etc. It's all designed to work at sitting height and be completely removeable in less than 2 minutes.

Made a table from an old kitchen door and some edge trim i made by cutting an old sash cramp. Leg and kit turned up today. Can now clip on the back if i want to sit outside. Goes out more than this when i slide the pod out. Can also clip inside and slide to different spots depending on what I'm carrying and where the seats are

Thanks. I'm liking it so far. Learning a lot too as i go ?
You are in the right place for advice. Some of it even useful. Seriously, it is the classic cliché of there being no stupid questions. A lot of very knowledgable people on here.

personally, if we ever meet, I am expecting “desperate Dan” but maybe will pass on the fries

I like that, but first impression is the unit looks like a coffin in a hearse

I wasn't specifically going for the coffin look ?? maybe it'll look better when i get the doors on it and the other bits n bobs.

Do the tambour doors rattle much when driving? Keep thinking about using them to utilise some wasted space in my van

they seem alright , ive run a small strip of steel and a magnet between them so they stay shut

Yep, I did the same on mine & no more rattling (from them anyway?)

No. That's mi Ma/gardener. And before anyone throws a wobbly she's been here since March and I'm off work. Garden looks amazing now. 😁

This part time set up is getting a bit out of hand. Put some lighting in the other day and bought a compressor fridge. If anyone spots me in the Lake District doing 19mph everywhere with a massive queue behind me and I'm listening to Val Donnican. Please pull me over and have a word 😂
