In a queue behind a fella in Redruth Post Office 2 days ago, he banked £5000 in "old" 20s, not a word was said.

A couple of months ago i paid in £6k in twenties at my building soc , i asked when it will be agro paying them in the guy bwhind the counter said they wont be withdrawn for at least 6 months then another 6 after that. Notes are in such short supply these will be out by the end the day.

I asked at the bank and they said it hadn't been announced yet and we would be given a 6 month warning before we have to get rid... And that the warning hadn't been given yet.

Hope they are right.
