Hi, could anyone recommend a decent campsite in Greece for a couple of weeks, probably the end of May.
Thanks

I am not surprised that there are no aswers yet as from what I read from MHFun members who frequent Greece most do wildcamping like us.

Wildcamping in Greece is easy, except for cassette emptying - we used to carry 2 cassettes - now 3 cassettes!

In general campsites in Greece are usually developed from old tent camping sites and cater for the Greek holiday season, mainly June, July August and bit of September but most shut by 15th.

On one island we go to the onlycampsite, mainly for tents, closed 15 years ago.

One does not see many MHs, except near ferry ports. We are usually the only MH on that island.

It’s a big place, whereabouts are you heading and what are your interests? If you want to visit Athens then Camping Athens is a bus and metro ride from the centre. Otherwise, as nicholsong has said, it’s very easy to just park up on some fantastic beaches etc.

Perhaps have a look on searchforsites.co.uk , there are load on there, all with reviews.
As mentioned, Greece is a rather large country with many islands. A decent campsite? Depends what you mean by decent, decent as in large all-singing on a beach or decent as in small quiet rural.

We are looking to park up for a few weeks, then hire a car for a week or so to look around. So a site would be better for us to use as a base.

Only you will know where about in Greece you want to park up for a few weeks and only you will know what you consider a decent site. Have a look on ACSI website (discounts for out of season), or as I mentioned - searchforsites.
You'll have to do a little of your own research for one which you will consider ideal for an multi week stay.
After driving all that way (via Italy or through Croatia, Montenegro and Albania) I'd want to be seeing more of the country than can be acomplished in a weeks car hire, and would be spending a few nights at several sites around the country. The roads are ok for driving a motorhome.
I've driven there twice and I rarely spend more than a couple of night on any site on my travels

Thanks Bill🍻 we are travelling through Croatia, will take note. We are hoping to spend around a month in Greece, so a couple of weeks in one spot will help us recharge. It's a 3 to 4 month trip for us, so no real rush.

We stayed at this Camper stop in Ancient Corinth for two weeks last March.
We didn't want to leave

Albania and Montenego are both relatively cheap countries to go through with plenty of campsites, I rarely book ahead at that time of year, and have yet to be turned away from a site. Most border crossings have insurance brokers within a few yards of the borders, and will sell you a weeks cover if you need it

Montenego - this one has good reviews although I'ver not been

Albania - we've stopped at this one a couple of times, good restaurant and a relaxing 'beach' on the lake, 19 euros a night with ACSI card

and this one in Albania clean sandy beach, lovely sunsets, good restaurant

You would do well to visit searchforsites web site (it's free) and spend some time looking through some of the sites in the general direction you plan to travel

We did a month in Albania and a week or two in Montenegro last April.
We loved Albania but not so much Montenegro.

We put a bit on here but not so much

We thoroughly enjoyed a 4-day stop at Camperstop Plataria (opposite Corfu) which is very near the beach, electric and dumping. It’s on P4N. Good luck and enjoy the Albanian coast. Just as good as Croatia and a lot cheaper 😊.
