There were a very large number of vans by the sea today at Playa de Quitapellejos, between Villaricos and Vera Playa, Almeria, south-east Spain

Not sure if any Funsters have stayed there?

Weve stopped there before and might use it again quite soon. There's an Acsi opposite but its grim, much nicer on the beach, the police were ok as long as we weren't on the shore

The right hand beach car park, as you drive in,is the nudist beach! Both car parks are not for motorhomes over 5.4metres long and definitely not any motorhomes at the beach front at any time! The authorities turn a blind eye out of season though. There is a bar/restaurant between the two car parks at the beach Akua I think it’s called. Not been myself as the price list prices have been tippex’d out!!!!
Will be back there on Tue/Wed 👍😁

We were on that site last Monday to Friday. It's been take over and is a nice site.

Looks great for a couple of nights stopover, but is the ground hard? We have to be extra careful with our tandem axle van, as it's rubbish in poor ground.
The ground is hard and compact, there have been lots of tandems and heavy motorhomes on both car parks this last 2 months 👍😁

Fingers crossed the users don't dump their Black waste in the bushes or beach, too many inconsiderate buggers are spoiling for all, in every wild camping spot.

It was as busy this time last year when we stopped there. I was also going to say watch out for the nudists they're everywhere :Eeek:
Yes, I'm one of them, as is Mrs mikbeaches - nothing like getting back to nature. 😉 (y)

Strictly speaking the established naturist area is just to the south of where all the vans are.

We were on the site across the road, quite a few were using the site for emptying and water. The site charges 10€.

That's interesting - thanks for the info! I rather wondered where all the toilet waste was disposed. Obviously I guess not everybody uses that facility??

We used to stay regularly at Camping Quevas Mar, as it used to be called. It recently changed ownership and had a makeover, new name and no longer has a naturist zone, as I understand.

Yes, no longer a naturist site. A very nice bar and restaurant there, also 50% of the site have cabins.

Yes, we had a quick look from the entrance yesterday, but didn't go in. We could see the new cabins.
