Another option

Interesting...
Is that "self-supporting" (eg. up to 10kg with a small table) or would the table need a leg to take the weight?

10kg is actually quite a weight so I would think anything over around 2kg would likely need some other support. Do you have a photo of where you want to put the extension?

Thanks and Nope (no need at the moment).
It was just a thought as an easy/alternative way to add a small worktop extension (for future reference)

One easy way of having a temporary extension is to open one of the drawers and place a chopping board on it, just make sure you've got the things out of the drawer you need first.

I added this shelf to our Adria, to provide more kitchen area, very simple, two bolts slide down into the holes of the head rests. They are fastened by rivnuts to a metal strip which is screwed into the melamine shelf. A plastic trim finishes it off neatly!

Well that's a good idea:unsure: Thank you. MisterB . Minxy. I am embarrassed to say l had not thought of opening the drawer and using a chopping board especially as l was thinking of using a chopping board as the work top.:blusher:

There is more info and detail on the what have you done today thread. If you don't have access to rivnuts etc, I'm happy to take mine with me to Drax rally and then to Stockport where we pick up the MiL for a few days back at ours if that helps ?

Our grandson Harry made this for our MH. It’s made from an offcut of 25mm thick MDF which he had lying around his workshop, then sprayed high gloss white. He routed the underside in 2 stages to ensure a tight fit for the 10mm tee brackets that I purchased from Amazon and to take account of the existing fixed headrest collars to allow the shelf to fit tightly down onto the existing dividing wall which separates the galley area and the lounge area.

Whilst's it’s only 21 wide x 56 long you’d be surprised the difference it makes. As there is only ever the 2 of us it’s left in place.

Thank you for your kind offer of help . It's nice people still help others with no gain for themselves. We do have a great shop near us that seems to have everything nuts bolts and all you need to use them. I (we) will have a look on the what have you done today thread. Pam
