Hi everyone, looking for some help.
I have a failed modified sine wave inverter that I want to swap out for a pure sine wave model.
Question is, are the remote switch connections to the inverter the same so I can use the old remote?

Cheers
Ray

Solution
I've looked a little into this and there seems to be a standard RG, 9 or 11, can't recall which but they look like a telephone connection into the phone itself, not the extending.

That's just the connector they are using it's the software that will determine if it works & the pins may be connected differently.

It MIGHT do if the jack is the same. I couldn't find a remote to switch mine off. I made my own after watching this YouTube video, there's a bit of waffle but he explains the principle really well. Very easy when you know how and it works a treat, just make sure you buy the cable with the correct number of cores👍

Cheers for that. I did see this and it makes even more sense having watched it again this morning

I think all that is required to switch most inverters on an off is a remote make or break switch. That is how my Victron works even though it uses an RJ11 cable.

Think I’ve got the solution.
When my new inverter comes it’ll have its own switch. I can just unplug my old switch, leaving the cable routed, in place and reconnect the new switch/inverter in🙃
