A barrier is to be installed and charges applied. One pound .50 for two hours, RSPB members free. The other pount is the car park will be open from 8 am to 5 pm and no overnight parking. A great shame, it is at the end of my road and I would often park up there on the way home to watch the dog walkers and bird watchers.
The gps co-ordinates are: 53.6768999, -2.9816210
Understandable really as lots of motorhomers have parked there overnight.

Not long enough!
Shame they don't charge for overnight parking. They'd make a bit more money.

Like everywhere else, free parking is vanishing quickly. I think the park and ride would find you space, for a fee and no overnighting, pleasureland for a fee and for a maximum of three hours (free) Morrisons at the far end of Lord Street towards Liverpool.
