Could anyone tell me the cheapest place to obtain a Umweltplakette certificate. I will be traveling through Germany in March 2016 and May stray within a Zone.

From what i see on that link it's from €30 upwards !! press the wrong delivery service and you can double it..
I remember from a previous thread that you can buy from any main dealer garage once you get to Germany..
Sure someone with recent knowledge will be along soon..

Just like EHIC cards, watch out for the overpriced websites !!!!

Thats the one i used although I could not get it in English without going through a link from the AA website. It was €6 including delivery and is valid for however long we own the van. Seems so cheap that you wonder how they make money on it. If I was cynical I would think they only made money from the fines!

Followed your link for a Umweltplakette Certificate. Filled in the online form with copy of V5 received Certificate within the week. Don't know if I will ever need to use it but it could save a fine. Thanks for your link.

I called in at one of the TÜV SÜD test centres showed the reg document and the tester guy came looked at the VIN plate and wrote the details on the disc 6 euro.

is this only for cetain cities in germany as were going to the black forest later this year is there a list of the places its needed?
