On previous posts/journals I have neglected to inform about what a lovely town this is.
It is perched on a hill with a great one way system around town, unless you are driving, as there are incessant stops.
The rocade of the town is adorned with bars with tables and chairs taking up the pavement and everyone, including the drivers, seem so relaxed.
Inside the one way system is a stunning quadrangle full of eateries and archways hiding the frontages adding more ambience. Saturday is market day and I would expect that to be heaving.
The cathedral is one of the more interesting interiors with 3 levels within and a good sized organ for a mediocre sized cathedral.
There are a couple of palace type places that want to charge you an entry.
At a guess the aire is 500m from the main road of the town and wine is currently 15.50 for 5 litres of really nice wine. Water and dump and bins available.
We think we have stayed here 4 times and visited on the bike (for wine) once.
Great place for a night out, eating or drinking, on a warm night.
