Firstly, no I don't know how to pronounce it.
Only one other journal has more photos than this one.
It is an absolute corker of a gorge walk.
It is 10 euros each without the Karten card or free with it.
You need to pay for parking (even a motorbike as I rang to check) and realistically it is going to be 6 euros.
Your Karten card also gets a free bus ride back down the hill.
At the end of the walk is a magnificently clear lake. However, this was not achieved today as it absolutely chucked it down and we finished like drowned rats then had to put on our bike gear we left at the bike which was already saturated, so we will ride up there another day (hopefully)
None of this put us off enjoying a really top notch walk.
From the car park go over the road bridge and through a zip wire place. Then follow river upstream.
You then get to a hut and this is where you pay or show your card.
After this it is just crystal clear water running over boulders. A barefoot path to start with then the steps up and down and back up again. It's about 8km in total with 500m rise but you do so much more as the steps go up and down the gorge. And they can be steep.
I walk 10-12 miles a day and my legs knew it after this walk. Good shoes are required and check weather. We did but the rain came early !
I would easily pay the 10 euros for this walk but allow time and weather considerations. Allow 4 hours to get to the top.
