Tatzelwurm waterfalls Alpenstraße

We started our day off badly as we went in search of a motorbike shop in Traunstein only to discover it is in tiny residential streets and is actually an E bikes shop.
Armed with that we decided to crack on with the Alpenstraße.
We used the motorway in order to get us to a horizontal wiggly yellow road.
By following the brown marked Deutsche Alpenstraße signs it seemed, and it was, taking an age. Really slow traffic and nothing to see that you wouldn't see on any other road in the region.
We turned right onto wiggly road and immediately single track with majority of 30 kph. The heat was high and it was not enjoyable. Coaches (3 of them) came in the opposite direction of this single track, but we luckily met them at good points.
We turned left at Tatzelwurm and continued for about 6kms for our first out of the van view of the day.
It was here we met a German who advised us to return for the 2 waterfalls we didn't see signposted. We knew they were about somewhere but expected signage.
We spotted the car park we were to aim for which had Parking for hiking sign and went off at 1100 if travelling east to west.

This is really middle of nowhere country. Big car park. And a pay and display machine of 3 euros for an hour. Begrudgingly it was paid and the walk down to both waterfalls and back took 30 minutes.
There is no point parking elsewhere and walking up as that is pay and display as well.
Good waterfalls though and worthy of a stop.
