Having been to the TO and market at Forcalquier the time to get the bikes out arrived and off we trotted on the euro velo 8 and Luberon 7 route.
I thought it was disused railway line but that part starts just before Apt to Cavaillon.
To be fair this was a pretty uninspiring bike ride with magnificent views.
No water points en route, no swimming or wading points, no picnic spots and very little shade, however the constant hilltop perched villages, the shadow of Ventoux, the distant town of Sault always seemed to be in view.
St Michel was a quaint little town with several bars restaurants and an aire which we probably wouldn't stay at but we would collect water from it and black and grey waste. It's about a km out of town down a hill.
We also passed Dauphin and really should have had a look but the constant undulating took its toll on our first bike ride since March.
An accident on the bike didn't help.
Lunch at the town next to Dauphin
