We have stayed here before at a functional paying aire about 1500 m from the beach.
We have come here from 74 m above sea level Le Plan de la Tour. Downhill all the way and sit at about 40 kph with the wind behind you. 90% of the non completely segregated route has the dotted white lines to cycle within and cars were not an issue.
The cycle route turns into a proper segregated route on the outskirts of staff Maxime and is pleasurable but take note you have to give way on occasions.
The town is just a traffic jam. Too many tourists, cyclists and pedestrians crossing for vehicular traffic to flow. Nice promenade with levelled out clean white sand next to the harbour you have to cross the road, and slow traffic even more, for the atmosphere of the restaurants bars and numerous shops to window shop in. Very pretty.
