Having made the decision to do some of the Alpenstraße we went for a place where we could stay 2 nights and travel on the motorbike in both directions.
Berchtesgaden is 44 KMs away so this place seemed ideal.
You are allowed to stay 48 hours and upon arrival you go into the hut of the 12 space stellplatz and fill out a form and put that into a provided envelope with 7 euros per night cash and post it in the box.
There are no facilities ! So empty and fill as appropriate prior to.
7 vans when we arrived and 6 (all bar 1 new) here tonight.
A very clear stream runs behind the bushes.
It is just a car park. However, we have just walked into the town and it is bleeding lovely. What we noticed was how many cycle parking facilities there were and it appears cycling heaven here. We will be returning just based on our 40 minute walk round the town on a Sunday night.
Loads and loads of ice cream sellers. I did a search earlier and nobody has written about this town. It's not on S4S but is on camper contact.
Paula wants to go in when the shops are open so she agrees. It was just stunning house after stunning house.
We found free wifi in the town today as well and if you go to tourist information by all accounts it is free train from their terminal station into Salzburg
Few more pics.
