We ran away from heavy rain near Brest and went to just below Quimper where the rain appeared equally wet. It did not deter a 30 km cycle round the coast (that's why we brought anoraks) and saw the trawlermen offloading and lovely old church with plenty of sea views. French surfing championships are held here but it needed a bit of swell if anybody was going to catch anything
