Obernai Alsace wine route

We thought we would give this town a try as it had an Aire for 50 and was free.

It got to stage of nearly having to change socks and shoes it was so wet so upon arrival to see the park as you want, mixed parking, puddle ridden, soft loose grit aire with a large number of full timers in there it was not the best of starts.
Easily, and very easily, the worst aire we have stayed on or seen on this trip. The first time we have both insisted it was alarmed.

Nothing wrong with aire apart from that.

But the town was a different story. Lots of the usual half timbered vertically expanding for tax avoidance purposes houses. The church was a let down but you could tell it was fairly new it was a really good walk round window shopping on the cobbled streets.

Town is definitely worth a visit and the aire may be more appealing on a better day

But of a rampart walk as well.
