Much better weather today saw us leave on our ebikes and used the extensive cycleway round the island ....... With grannies granddad's kids mass groups giggly girl groups. I don't wear a helmet usually but there was good reason to wear one today. There would be slow moving groups of 10 and being able to overtake was hard work.
So we had to pedestrianise our cycling.
We left at Martin and went to the lovely la couarde with market.
Then Loix but we followed the path round the town which was an error
Then lunch at Les ported plage
Before a beach on the north side of the island (with tattoo)
Then out to the lighthouse
And then a less than inspiring ars en re.
But the harbour was a good un
What we learnt. You can buy salt at 1.50 kg.
You can buy a dozen number 3 oysters for 6 euros off some sellers in the middle of the salt marshes.
It's a bleeding long day out and 75 Kms round trip.
Don't park under a tree for good solar
