Last stop on the trip just into Holland. We arrived at an ACSI site but the receptionist told us it was full. At first I didn't believe her but she rang another campsite a hundred yards down the road and they had room for us. Its a very nice site for relaxing. Chickens and goats and nice grass, got here for 10:30am and had breakfast.
The next morning we wanted pancakes. We have always loved a savoury pancake when in the Netherlands so found one a short distance away from the campsite. We got there for when they opened.
They were lovely.
While we were there the heavens opened.
We had a bit of time and rather than sit at the ferry terminal I diverted to Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven B.V. just outside Tilburg. Otherwise known as La Trappe brewery. Its one of the few Trappist breweries outside of Belgium. It's also one of the few I have not been to. They had a shop and a restaurant but I couldn't drink any. I already had a glass and had tried the beer before so bought a hat.
A couple of hours later we were at Rotterdam and it was all over until next time. We have said we will go back to Germany again and concentrate more on Bavaria. There are lots of little towns that people told us about that we would like to visit. We have been about 7 times but there is always plenty to see and the Stelplatz are great.
The beer is also cheap and really good.
