Markstein Route des Cretes

IMG20240702152032.jpg
Having escaped the rain at least grand balon we headed to Markstein where it is possible to stay overnight but there really is nothing to do.

We could still see at this stage but it was raining quite heavily. We stopped and admired the raindrops and saw a rail luge, then we saw it was open in the rain. Then we noticed the carriages had rain proof covers. The cost was 7 euros but we thought better of it in this weather.

And then a couple of marble runs. We can't resist a free marble run and as we now have 2 marbles again it was competition time.

Then we found a flipper machine for the marbles. Thoroughly enjoyable in the rain making the cow bells ring.

Pretty much it for us. We continued on but I could only see 3 white lines in front of us so no real choice but to come off the mountain and see if it is better tomorrow
