Tuesday (11/04/23) we left the Cairngorms heading to Loch Ness Shores CCC site.
We went via Inverness to get some provisions and refuel, we then came down the east side of Loch Ness calling in at Castle Urquhart and Fort Augustus, before coming back up the west side of Loch Ness to our campsite.

Wednesday (12/04/23) unfortunately there was rain this morning. By late morning the rain had blown through, there was even some snow on the hills on the other side of the loch.
We did a walk to the ‘Falls of Foyer’, we were disappointed with the flow of water in the Falls but was told by a local the flow rate is controlled by the nearby hydroelectric station. At the top we found a cafe for coffee and toasties, after, we continued our walk to the loch side and back to the campsite.
