We knew we would be aiming here but I wasn't expecting it to be an island.
I had noticed an island on the map and thought we would go take a look. It was only when we got there that realisation that we should follow signs for Lindau Insel.
This then takes you over one of the 2 bridges and we followed the road round to the right then over the railway and there is a big car park. We decided that was too far for motorbike parking and headed into town for some french beret wearing parking.
Really really nice town with a feel of a bastide town only bigger. Lovely meandering around and eventually found the harbour in traffic free conditions
The museum had very posh security. We didn't go in.
We did see the queue for the paying toilets and one piece of art had a man out a sign in front requesting 2 euros a photo. Couple of statue people and maybe 4 different mature buskers including a good saxophonist but they were all very good.
High buildings and busy streets gave it a lovely ambience.
