1424 metres height for the highest point of the Vogues mountains it is surprisingly easy to walk to the top from the car park. It is a round journey with estimated time of 45 minutes. Steep to start with, maybe 400 m, but good stoney path and no steps. The balon at the top becomes visible quickly (if you go left at the choice) but there is a memorial before you get there and this where the full on views occur.
Then up to le balon for the last view of the other side.
It was at this point the clouds started to come in big style and as we walked away the summit was covered in cloud and rain descended.
