We ran out of Karten Card things in this area. We have done all that we wanted to do and fresh (ish) from our Vrsic pass day we looked at how many miles that was and how far lake bled is. Lake Bled was 116 miles round journey but only 2 steep rises (loibl pass both ways) That is only a tankful of petrol or 6 euros of fuel for us and as we knew we could make it up the hill we went for it.
It could be quicker if you paid for Slovenian tolls, but I don't pay for tolls deliberately !
Unluckily for us there was a road closed and it seems in Slovenia they have no inclination to invent a word meaning umleitung so we did some guessing and it looks like we did good.
Bled wasn't fantastically well signposted and when we got there we were wondering where the lake was as no signs for that either but it just appeared.
Not knowing the score with motorbike parking we put our french berets on and parked it next to a right clapped out old heap next to a posh hotel unknowingly right next to the summer luge.
We also thought we would ride round the lake but it really isn't that big (I did not great research on this) so we walked and just took photographs and kept taking them. Could easily have taken more. It is very photogenic.
It was noted that toilets have to be paid for.
Once we had returned the summer luge including chair lift up for 12 euros each was a treat for ourselves.
In hindsight I should have checked the seating as it was a bumpy jerky ride and my back suffered so I had to take the speed off.
