Lac du bonlieu and cascades

IMG20240824191109.jpg
We have been to the cascades du Harrison a couple of times. Really stunning set of 11 waterfalls you can walk behind or swim in the well and it's 9 years since we have been here.
We parked up by the fromagerie at the top end and walked downhill first (you have to pay for parking if you do it the other way)
3.3 kms walk and when you get to the first waterfall it may suddenly dawn on you that it's late August and they may be suffering with lack of rain. Hardly a trickle. We persevered in case there was a tributary for lower waterfalls and failed and the one I swam in before wasn't quite knee high. But we did see the gendarmes having a picnic.
We returned disillusioned having driven a whole day and then found the aire with no facilities at lac bonlieu. It says no swimming but we had a wade. Swimming is in lac ilay about 3 km away.
First attempt with the lithium powered 3000 watt inverter delivered air fryer tonight.
