We went a slightly different route today and did an out and return.
Immediately as we had gone through the German Austrian border at a tunnel we saw cars parked in the middle of nowhere within gorge like rocky area.
Well that tickled us enough to pull over and see what they were looking at especially as we saw dogs and children.
Parking would be challenging for a motorhome, not impossible, but challenging.
There were a couple of 2.5 hour walks but we plumped for the one we loosely translated as "Round circuit bridge walk" but also noted "platform" was 50 minutes versus our 40 minute bridge walk.
We took our pizza and apple turnover lunch and immediately came across a church which appeared to be on 2 levels, it wasn't. But it had 3 different chapels and each was tiny.
We then hunted out a picnic table but found a nice bench with view of the river through the trees. We then spotted the first bridge.
So we descended to find proper picnic tables with a better view of the bridge.
Then up onto the bridge for regulation photos before following the relatively steep 5 minute walk up the zigzag path. At this point you decision make about another 10 minutes uphill slog to somewhere (to the left) or to the right for the other bridge. We went left and were rewarded with a viewing platform of both bridges.
Down again to the second bridge and back through a really nice looking cafe
We aren't too sure how far off the Alpenstraße this actually is, but it's nearby enough to give consideration to.
Paddling here is ok but it's quite fast flowing if you went away from the shallows near the beach
