A fair to medium bit off the Alpenstraße so haven't added it to the title.
We came here purely because we couldn't believe the prices of Aires in Fussen where we have been before and Garmisch but we needed a larger town to get the Suzuki address up and running (legally ish as still no UK plate )
The Aire is a bit of a grotty car park to be fair. We got here at about 1800 hrs and paid our 5 euros cash only for the night before ignoring the football as a dead rubber was on the telly and wondered round the as to be expected clean but very new pedestrianised town. Woolworths had bargains C and a were there and really importantly we saw 2 kebab shops with the kebab chips and a coke for 7.50 but we did not succumb as paella in the Rewe was 4.49 for 2 of us.
However we did have a beer out at night for the first time. 9 euros and we saw the end of Austria Netherlands on 3 big screens.
There was also an uninteresting underground art exhibition (basically in a subway.
The river was dirty after recent rain but there are swimming lakes about.
It appears you can park on the road for free overnight and 4 euros for the day. We preferred the cramped Aire. 1 euro for 10 minutes of high pressure, invite your neighbours to use it, water and a free dump.
We would come back here but the place to fix the rather bald tyre is 10 KMs away so have brought the van with us.
