Always fancied coming here but never made it for whatever reason.
It says there is a CCP here. It's about 3km away which is far too far to walk in this heat though very well placed for bikes and not necessarily ebikes as it's flat.
The town itself is not overly welcoming for motorhomes with height barriers but there is some parking along the road by the kayak start point.
The river Sorgue comes out of the mountains but unfortunately the source can no longer be seen for 2 reasons. The path is blocked because of falling rocks and there is no water coming out of the source. However a mere 50 m down"stream" there is a flowing river as other straight from the mountain sources create the river.
We dumped our pusbikes in the height restricted paying car park with lunch by the river before walking into the beautiful little Hamlet dominated by the crystal clear freezing green water. We followed the river up to the source seeing water mills en route and a paper mill museum (free) on the way back before observing the bride arriving for her wedding and the road closed off for to receive applause from friends family and tourists.
Really stunning place for a leisurely walk but if you want to see a photo of the dried up source of the Sorgue, DBK took one a few years ago in his thread which i think was two go to France. (Worth a read)
The viaduct is actually an aquaduct of the canal du carpentras which we cycled part of and probably appears in the voie vert thread.
Also don't miss the tunnel that gives you access to the left bank
